A Swedish based company named ENVAC has already created and successfully implemented a pneumatic garbage removal tube system in 30 countries around the world, the most noteworthy being Sweden, the UK, Spain, China, Hong Kong, and Japan.  In these systems, openings lead to air powered tubes that suck garbage to a central point in the community. Garbage is sorted out and the air used to suck trash is filtered then released.  These ENVAC systems can be implemented in a large variety of ways including individual homes, apartments, offices, and public places.
